I've just read so many poor reviews about this Dr's. I've been using this surgery for over 7 years and my experiences are very different. I thought the previous receptionist when I first came here were quite stand offish. And I could never get through on the phone. But for the last, at 4-5 years they've been great. Granted I've not had many causes to go in but I've not had anything but good service from all the staff. By comparison to what my partner has to do to get an appointment at her Dr's, Abbotswood are great, compassionate, helpful and friendly!

I have been using this practise for a few years and in terms of having prescriptions given on time have had constant issues. Being someone that struggles with mental health which is what my prescriptions are for I have rarely had a positive experience here. Today was one of the worst experiences having a appointment with one of the GP’s this evening to discuss my medications relevant to my mental health and I had politely attempted to ask a question regarding it for the GP to turn around raise her voice at me and tell me ‘I’m not finished’ and continued to be hostile towards me throughout the appointment which for someone that is supposed to be a trusted healthcare professional dealing with someone that suffers with mental health has left me feeling a lot worse, with her knowing about my struggles having all of my information in front of her after having been going to a good patch after one appointment with this GP leaving me feel genuinely awful, I cannot recommend this practise to anyone.

I have used this surgery for many years and the reception staff under the prevoius management were always helpful and sympathetic. The current reception staff are very rude, unhelpful and irresponsible. The Dr's and nurses are mostly nice people but unfortunately most receptionists and the practice manager are not. As a result my health really detoriated, due to lack of followup. Greatful to my new GP, immedialty done comprehensive
blood tests and identified very high glucose levels which could have taken me to coma! Also with a new prescription the Dr treated a long term condition. The best decision I have taken in 2022 is to change this GP surgery. I will share my terrible experience with the CQC and thier NHS commissioning body.

Spinal degenerative disease, sliding hernia, adrenal gland cyst on my kidney, oesophagitis, heart problems eg.fluid round the heart, severe weight loss.
This is a list of medical problems I was found to have within 1 month of leaving Abbotswood Medical Centre, I was treated like an animal when I was at this practice. I phoned Dr Azad on many occasions early morning as soon as the practice opened in the morning. Dr Azad would call at 6/30pm and say “What’s the problem now I can’t speak as I have urgent calls coming in” not once did I receive any exploratory tests. I was in agony The pain was incredible but still nothing done. My new drs are amazing thank god. I owe them my life as I kept telling drs at Abbotswood and they kept reiterating you are just a very anxious patient. No I am not an anxious person the anxiety was caused by the contempt the medical staff showed me when I was too I’ll to speak up for myself. When you are I’ll you feel at your most vulnerable. Why do these people go into a caring profession when they have no care or compassion for another human being. Please don’t make the same mistake as I did and get downtrodden and sick because of this medical centre. Yes I have left your surgery before you start saying I’m no longer a patient, Shame on you dr Awan and Dr Azad. Once I’ve seen the neurologist, cardiologist and respiratory specialist then I will have a clearer understanding of the problems I still suffer from due to their lack of care I was a patient for 3 years. I will have a clearer picture of how incompetent these Drs actually are, and finally go to NHS England with a solid water tight case.

I can’t fault this surgery . After moving to the area and having a few health issues they have been brilliant. The Team are really helpful and understanding. The doctors are marvellous. Honestly , don’t be put off by some other reviews . I’d recommend this surgery to anyone.

Been at the surgery for many years now and had really good experience with the nurse who has now left however the care level has dramatically dropped and left both myself and partner feel like we don’t matter ,my partner contacted 111 and was advised to see gp however on this occasion which was her only ever visit she was made to feel like a time waster. I have a poor medical past and still under go treatment but I really feel I’m not listened too

extremely rude staff, I called surgery to book GP's appointment as I was suffering from severe heartburn (constant) since last two weeks. The receptionist (Karen) told me that for heartburn you don't need to see GP henceforth the nurse will assess you. I requested her to book my appointment with GP as my situation is deteriorating day by day but she was so adamant and told me to go to pharmacist and ask them to provide strong medication for heartburn or try my luck with different receptionist as she is not going to book my appointment, I went to pharmacist and requested for over the counter medicine but she advise me to see GP, when I explain above to her she was shocked and appalled by this behaviour of the medical centre staff.

Iv been with this surgery for 58years Over the past few years it has rapidly declined Visited Gp last week With my brother who recently had a heart attack and was feeling very unwell , he was told his chest was clear. He had to ask for antibiotics in case. The very next day had to go to A&E and was told he had a severe chest Infection. I could go on for hours but there’s not much point No patient care what so ever but I’m delighted to say I have now changed surgeries also Very rude receptionist with attitude

Very happy with my recent visit. I got an appointment right away, the reception was friendly and helpful and I was seen on time. The doctor listened carefully to the description of my varied symptoms and his prescriptions are already improving things for me. Wonderful NHS,

Very nice people but when you are in pain you will not receive immediate treatment. I have received wrong diagnosis and now my health is deteriorating and I am left in pain for two weeks. Unfortunately I have not seen prevention or early treatment of a condition before things gets worse. This is very sad and frustrating when you are in constant pain. The doctors are assuming a diagnosis without having any evidence. Both times I needed a doctor I had to use other NHS services to get an accurate diagnosis.
When the GPs dont know what I have there is so much delaying that my condition is getting worse. That is not good enough and I don't have the confidence that if something happens to me I will be treated on time. When a condition is being left untreated and undiagnosed for so long the cost of treatment will be way higher than an early accurate diagnosis and treatment.
