I can't recommend Chapman and sons enough, they were all really friendly and knowledgeable and definitely saved us a fair amount of money because of that. Our garden is very long and on a hill and they managed to complete all the garden work including lugging a whole gardens worth of concrete posts, gravel boards and 6 foot fencing up the garden in just 2 days. They were a fraction of the cost we were quoted by other companies and completed the work in half the time. Will 100% use them for any other work in the future. Highly recommend. We have used this company for installing a fence post next to our house and there is a communcal ligthing just across the corner. Pete from this company has installed the fencepost by damaging the cables of communal lighting. When approached them with the damage report from property management , Pete didn't even answer my calls or messages. DONT USE THEM as they are not professional when something goes wrong. Rip off merchants. They charged me £380 to fix the leak from the corner of the roof guttering (facias) but it was not fixed at all, water still pouring down each time it rains and damp still building up in the house. I told Mr Chapman that we should wait to test the job in the next big rain before I pay, just to be sure that it was fixed, but he started intimidating me to make payment asap, which I did. It finally rained. I called them so many times and even left messages, after the rain to let them know that the rainwater was still leaking but he did not call back even once. I am so hurt that someone on Checkatrade, a trusted site, could turn out to be a fraudster, so I want especially women out there, who are more vulnerable to beware. I had a second opinion today (07/10/2021) and was told that the job should have been charged at around £80 and because of what I went through, they will come back and fix it for free, less the cost of equipment. They provided garden maintenance services for around 3 months before suddenly stopping as they had one of their gardeners leave and far too many customers to support. I wasn't aware this was the case until I chased them up. Overall they provided a very basic level of maintenance. nothing special.

Pete and the team did a great job reducing a neighbouring Sycamore tree. All left tidy afterwards also with little disruption to us. Service: General repairs & maintenance

Pete was quick to respond to my phone call. He and his team removed a large tree stump for me at a reasonable cost. They were polite and kept their distance, thus respecting ours and their safety during these difficult times. We were so pleased with the job that we got them to clean and point the patio a few days later. Would recommend.

Pete and the team arrived on time and worked very hard to install my fence, add some concrete supports to some parts of an existing fence and remove a lot of greenery. Shortly afterwards I asked them to come back and remove an old concrete shed base. Polite and friendly, they are highly recommended.

Highly recommend Chapman & sons for their work they did for me today. Very efficient and most of all very tidy and clean. Will be definitely using them again in the future.
