Disgusting company, the director sacked my partner two weeks before Christmas as he claimed there was not any further work, bear in mind he was employed for a full time position and doing well there. My partners work stood out, he worked extremely hard and was happy. He got on well with everyone however certain people who were close to the director did not like my partner because he called those people out for being lazy and not doing enough work/doing the work properly. Suddenly those same people decided to tell this director untrue things which led to him taking a dislike to my partner, he was called into meetings and everyone started to treat him differently. Instead of being professional and hearing both sides the director decided to side with his mates, message my partner two weeks before Christmas claiming theres no work leaving the innocent person in all of this jobless for absolutely nothing.. with two children to care for. My partners work was not good enough apparently? Thats odd because he completed lots of work to a high standard in high end properties and yet it was not up to standard?hmm. The director then had the nerve to contact my partner asking him to help with a week’s work before Christmas although he left him jobless. People also warned my partner that he liked to randomly sack people just before Christmas because it suits him

We had work done a year ago before Christmas in 2022 and life got the better of me with not posting a review sooner! They did great work and went above and beyond to help get the job done, which ended up being more complex than we first thought. Little hiccups which are always likely to happen when dealing with these sort of jobs were managed fairly and reasonably and the guys on the site - Shane primarily & Chris and a few others - were very very helpful and hard working. The admin and accounts staff were also very helpful :-)

They were very professional and polite. They were prompt and efficient and made sure everything around was protected from the dust. I highly recommend this company and am glad to have used them. The team were a lovely bunch and punctual. But two years after the work was completed the damp remains. The company have quoted double the price to do more work beyond the scope of the initial quote. I could not recommend this company.

He gave me practical solutions to try before having to resort to major work being undertaken. Garratt’s really went above and beyond to provide us with an excellent woodworm treatment service. Throughout the process they were incredibly easy to deal with. They sent a surveyor quickly, identified the issue and quoted very competitively. We needed to sync the treatment with floor sanding work and were particularly worried about any damage to the floorboards. They sent a senior member of the team to lift the boards himself, to put our minds to rest, and they really thought through their approach to the job to avoid having to cut even a single extra board.
